What the app does. Bungdit RGB controls your own RGB LED controller. Every lighting command (colour, mode, brightness, speed) travels from your phone straight to the controller over Bluetooth and never passes through a server. The only part of the app that uses the internet is the shared pattern gallery, where users publish light patterns for others to see. This policy explains what that part stores.

No name, e-mail or phone number. The app has no sign-up. You never type a name, e-mail, phone number or password.

On first launch the app performs an anonymous sign-in with Google Firebase Authentication. This creates a single random ID for your installation. It is not linked to your name, e-mail or phone number, and it cannot be traced back to your identity. The random ID is used for exactly two things: to know which shared patterns are yours (so you can delete them), and to store your personal block list.

What is uploaded, only when you press “share”. Patterns you draw stay on your phone until you deliberately share them. When you do, exactly this is uploaded and nothing else: the pattern type; the pattern name you chose; the display name you typed yourself (max 40 characters — a nickname or shop name is fine, a real name is not required, and it is shown to other users); your random ID; the pattern itself as a single block of text (the picture, the colour of each LED, the motion style and the speed); the share date and time; and the system counters for reports and hidden status.

We do not upload your photos, your location, your contacts, your Bluetooth device identifiers, firmware files, or any usage analytics.

Reports. When you report a pattern we store your random ID, the ID of the reported pattern, the reason and the timestamp. Report records cannot be read from inside the app by anyone — not by you and not by the pattern's author. The developer can open them in the back office only to review reported patterns. One person can report a given pattern once.

Blocks. When you block someone we store that person's random ID in your own list with a timestamp. Only you can read your block list. The blocked person is not notified and their patterns are not deleted — you simply stop seeing them.

Where the data lives. Shared-gallery data (shared patterns, reports, block lists and the anonymous random ID) is stored on Google Firebase servers — Cloud Firestore and Firebase Authentication — in the asia-southeast1 (Singapore) region. Traffic is encrypted with HTTPS/TLS by Google, and server-side Firestore Security Rules allow a record to be edited or deleted only by the holder of the random ID that created it. The app also keeps an offline cache of patterns already downloaded on your phone so the gallery opens instantly on a slow connection.

Stored on your phone only. The following never leaves your device: the name and identifier of the last controller you connected to; the patterns saved in your own library and the display name you set; your language and display settings; the wallpaper image you pick — the app uses the Android system photo picker (so it needs no access to your whole photo library) and copies only the image you chose into the app's private folder, where it is never uploaded; and any firmware file you select to send to your controller over Bluetooth. All of it is removed when you uninstall the app or clear its data.

Permissions and why. Bluetooth (scan & connect nearby devices) — used only to find and drive your own LED controller. The scan is declared neverForLocation: Bluetooth is not used to derive your location, and the app never reads, stores or transmits GPS coordinates. Location (Android 11 and below only) — older Android versions require this permission before any app may scan for Bluetooth devices; on Android 12 and above the app does not request it. The app only checks whether the phone's location switch is on, because some handsets silently return no scan results when it is off — it does not read your coordinates. Internet — used for the shared gallery only; with no connection the app still controls your lights normally. Photo / file picker — opened only when you choose a wallpaper or a firmware file; the app does not browse other files on your phone.

No ads, no tracking. The app contains no advertising, no analytics SDK, no crash reporting SDK and no third-party tracking libraries. We do not sell or trade your data.

Retention. Shared patterns stay in the gallery until you delete them or the developer removes them for breaking the rules. Report records are kept as long as needed for content moderation and to prevent duplicate reports. Your block list is kept until you ask us to delete it. The anonymous random ID exists until you ask for account deletion or uninstall the app (uninstalling removes the ID from your phone).

Deleting your data. You can delete your own shared patterns from inside the app at any time, or e-mail us to erase everything tied to your random ID. Both routes are explained on the Delete my data page.

Children. The app is made for people who install and use LED lighting on vehicles. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 — the app asks no personal details from users of any age. If a parent finds that their child has shared a pattern containing personal text, e-mail us and we will remove it.
